🎗️ 1. Cancer Awareness & Support
Target Area Goals:
• Promote early detection and awareness (especially breast, cervical, and prostate cancers in underrepresented communities).
• Support survivors and caregivers.
• Advocate for resources in underserved areas.
Programs/Initiatives:
• Host annual “Pink & Purple” cancer walks or luncheons.
• Partner with local clinics for free screenings.
• Provide care kits for chemotherapy patients.
• Invite survivors to speak at events to inspire and educate.

💜 2. Lupus Advocacy & Education
Target Area Goals:
• Raise awareness, especially among women of color (disproportionately affected).
• Provide emotional support and education.
• Advocate for better healthcare access.
Programs/Initiatives:
• “Lupus Doesn’t Define Me” workshops or social media campaigns.
• Collaborate with the Lupus Foundation for education days.
• Sponsor rest retreats or self-care sessions for women with chronic illness.
• Purple events during Lupus Awareness Month (May).

Target Area Goals:
• Educate communities, especially African American and Hispanic populations.
• Support children and families managing the disease.
• Promote blood donation drives (for transfusions).

• Host back-to-school health fairs with a Sickle Cell booth.
• Create a “Blood Brothers/Sisters” donor team for Red Cross drives.
• Partner with children’s hospitals for patient visits and gift bags.
• Sponsor educational webinars and family support groups.
